Terms of use.

iamaware.in publishes a daily current-affairs bulletin, long-form Explained articles, and an interactive map of India, aimed at people preparing for competitive examinations. It is a curated publication, not original reporting: items are compiled from official press releases, public records and open datasets, summarised with the help of a language model and reviewed by us. Every source we draw on is listed in the bibliography.

That means two things. Summaries can be incomplete or wrong, so verify anything that matters against the source we credit. And nothing here is legal, financial, medical or other professional advice, or a guarantee about any examination.

By using the site you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

• Who may register — You must be 18 or older and able to enter into a contract under Indian law.
• Accurate details — Give a real name and a working email address, and keep them current. We may need the address to verify your account or reset your password.
• One account, one person — Accounts are personal. Do not share your password or let others sign in as you; a subscription, when we have one, will cover one person.
• Keep it safe — You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access, and use “sign out everywhere” on the account page.
• Verification — We may ask you to verify your email address, and may limit an unverified account.

You are welcome to read, take notes, print for yourself, and link to us. Please do not:

• Scrape or bulk-download — No crawlers, scripts or automated collection beyond ordinary reading, and no copying the bulletin, the articles or the map data in bulk. Search engines that obey our robots.txt are the exception.
• Republish — Do not copy substantial parts of our text, our compilation or our map data onto another site, app, channel or study material, with or without credit, and do not sell it.
• Share or resell access — Do not share credentials, pool an account, or resell access to gated content.
• Interfere — No attempts to get around the sign-in gate, rate limits or security measures, no probing or load-testing, no reverse engineering, and nothing that degrades the service for others.
• Misuse the forms — Do not send unlawful, abusive, defamatory, infringing or malicious content through the feedback form or any other channel.
• Break the law — Do not use the site for anything unlawful, or in breach of anyone else’s rights.

• Ours — Our editorial writing, the selection and arrangement of the bulletin, the Explained articles, the design, the code and the compiled map layers belong to us and are protected by copyright.
• Other people’s — Government press releases, official notifications, third-party datasets and any quoted material remain the property of their owners and are used under their own terms; each is credited in the bibliography or inline with the item.
• What you may do — You may read, save and print pages, including the article PDFs, for your own personal, non-commercial study. Anything beyond that needs our written permission.
• Feedback you send us — If you send an idea, a correction or a suggestion, we may use it to improve the service without owing you payment or credit. Please do not send us anything confidential.

We run this on a small budget and offer no uptime guarantee. The site may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, and we may add, change or withdraw features, sections or sources at any time. Publication is daily in intent, not a promise.

If you sign in with Google, you also accept Google’s own terms for that service. What we receive from Google, and what we do with it, is set out in the privacy policy. Removing our access from your Google account does not delete your iamaware account — do that from the account page.

iamaware is free to use today. We intend to introduce a paid subscription for some content in the future, and we reserve the right to do so, and to decide which parts stay free.

If and when that happens: the price, the billing cycle, the renewal, the cancellation and the refund rules will be published as separate subscription terms and shown to you before you pay. No existing account will ever be charged without choosing a paid plan and agreeing to those terms. Nothing in this section is an offer or a commitment to a price.

You may stop using the site whenever you like, and delete your account from the account page; what deletion erases is described in the privacy policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is being used to attack or abuse the service, or where the law requires it. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why first. On termination your right to use the site ends, and the sections on ownership, disclaimers and governing law survive.

The site is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for the content of any external site we link to.

To the fullest extent Indian law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunity, examination outcomes, or any decision you take based on something you read here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for fraud.

We update the date at the top of this page when these terms change. If a change is significant we will say so on the site or by email. Continuing to use iamaware after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of the site.
